Redisage offers a VSP configurator software. Virtual Serial Port emulates connection between converter and PC as if it was connected directly to the COM port. This adventage of that functionality is lack of additional cables. So that, you can test transmition over ethernet.

Configuration procedure:

  • Change the ports service to RemoteCOM

  • Set up ports number

  • Enable or disable encryption

  • If encryption is enabled, create a password

  • Download and install Redisage VSP configurator

  • Click on Add Device…

  • Next, you can type free COM number, IP address and service port or choose from list of available devices on the right side

  • After that, keep in mind to save changes

  • At any moment you are allowed to disable, rename or delete virtual serial port

  • There is also Settings tab at the top of the window, where you can open Logging Directory or Device Manager

  • You can check if everything is connected properly for example by web page
